February 27, Fineko/abc.az. Italian restaurants in Britain refuse from tomatoes due to rising prices and lack of product, ABC.AZ reports with reference to The Guardian.
Some establishments are even forced to remove the traditional Italian dish "Pasta al Pomodoro" from the menu.
According to experts of the Federation of Italian Chefs of Britain, the prices of tomatoes have increased fourfold since the beginning of last year: from five to 20 pounds per box.
