February 27, Fineko/abc.az. The Belarusian analogue of IKEA, the manufacturer of Swed House, may open 10 stores in Moscow in 2023, ABC.AZ reports, citing Bulat Shakirov, the head of the Union of Shopping Centers of Russia.
"Our union has signed a cooperation agreement with company Swed House, which produces output similar to IKEA, in order to open 10 stores in Moscow with an area of up to 1,000 sq m in 2023," he said.
Shakirov added that it is planned to open up to 50 stores across Russia in the coming years.
The union has also entered into negotiations for Swed House to become a tenant of Mega shopping centers.
