February 23, Fineko/abc.az. Discussions will be held regarding Turkish platform Trendyol, which has the largest online sales base in Azerbaijan.
ABC.AZ reports that this was announced at a conference organized by the State Service for Antimonopoly Supervision & Consumer Market Control in Baku by Service’s representative Javid Suleymanov.
He noted that there is a risk that this platform creates unfair competition in Azerbaijan.
According to Suleymanov, if studies show that Trendyol allows unfair competition, measures can be taken against this platform.
One of such measures may be the opening of a Trendyol representative office in Azerbaijan, the storage of products in warehouses in Azerbaijan for at least 30-40% of the annual turnover, as well as attraction to customs taxes and duties.
