February 21, Fineko/abc.az. The European Union has approved the decision to extend sanctions against Russia until 24 February 2024.

ABC.AZ reports that EU Council’s relevant resolution is published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

"Restrictive measures should be extended until 24 February 2024," the EU statement says.

The decision comes into force the day after publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.

According to the EU Foreign Policy Service, currently 1,386 individuals and 171 companies are included in the EU sanctions list for Russia.
