Growth rate of food prices exceeds growth rate of household incomes

February 20, Fineko/abc.az. The growth rate of food prices in Azerbaijan exceeded the growth rate of household incomes in January 2023.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that in January 2023 population’s nominal incomes amounted to AZN 5.379 bn (15% more versus January 2022).

Population’s per capita income for January amounted to 531 manats, which is 14.3% more against January 2022).

During this period, the growth rate of prices for food products in Azerbaijan significantly exceeded the growth rate of income.
