Azerbaijan imported 4,500 tons of grain from Volgograd

February 17, Fineko/abc.az. Since the beginning of the year Azerbaijan imported 4,500 tons of grain and its processed products from the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Federal Service for Veterinary & Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) that Azerbaijan is the main consumer of grain and its processed products, which accounts for 30.6% of the total supply.

Since the beginning of the year, 15,500 tons of quarantine products of plant origin intended for export have been monitored in the Volgograd Region. 94.8% of export products account for grain and its processed products, which totals 14,700 tons. The products were supplied to 18 countries of the world.
