It was observed both the introduction of additions to the pension part of benefits and the implementation of indexation. Since February, pensioners have received their pensions with an increase," ABC.AZ reports, quoting expert economist, MP Vugar Bayramov.

He added that pensions, salaries and social benefits are also expected to increase this year:

"The increase in the minimum wage has affected wages in other spheres as well. In particular, this could be seen in the wages of employees funded under single tariff schedule. At the next stage, the salary increase will directly depend on the orders. In practice, we’ve seen an increase in both pensions and social benefits and pensions. The political will of the head of state is to increase the amount of finances allocated for social programs and, in this context, further deepen the social package. It is planned to allocate AZN 15.2 bn from State Budget 2023 for social spheres, which is 46% of the total budget expenditures. In 2023, the social package will become even deeper."
