February 16, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported foods for $169.76 million for January 2023.

ABC.AZ reports that compared with January 2022, food imports increased by 13.3%.

This January, in the structure of food imports, the main volume accounted for wheat – 142,655.61 tons (a rise of 52.2%) for $43.4 million, corn – 10,309.85 tons (a rise of 57%) for $2.737 million, rice – 8,922.5 tons (a rise of 2.2-fold) for $4.4 million, tea – 1,110.84 tons (a rise of 31.6%) for $5.946 million, fruit and vegetable products – 27,622.07 tons (decline of 17.2%) for $19.845 million, meat – 2,692.19 tons (decline of 14.9%) for $4.9 million, vegetable and animal oils – 8,788.98 tons (decline of 49.5%) for $13.8 million.

In January 2022, products for $149.856 million were imported in Azerbaijan.
