February 16, Fineko/abc.az. World Bank’s president David Malpass announced his decision to leave his post by 30 June.
ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in a distributed written statement of the WB press service.
"WB president David Malpass informed the Board of Directors today of his intention to leave his post by the end of the current WB financial year, which will end on 30 June, after more than four years of work," the text says.
David Malpass took over as president of the World Bank in 2019, when Donald Trump was the American president. He also previously served as an adviser to Republican presidents, and served as Deputy Secretary of the Treasury for International Affairs. The term of office of Malpas expired only in 2024.
