December 30, Fineko/abc.az. VK, Yandex, Sberbank and Rostelecom intend to establish a company to develop a new mobile operating system.

ABC.AZ reports that it will be created based on Android and a platform capable of replacing Google Mobile Services (GMS).

Experts believe that an Android-based OS will be in demand among citizens due to compatibility with a large number of applications.

According to a source in the Russian electronics market, VK and Sber are interested in developing an analogue of GMS. The source stated that "major players are ready to unite to develop a platform" because "everyone needs it who wants their applications to have adequate functionality".

VK, Yandex, and Rostelecom declined to comment on the occasion.
