December 23, Fineko/abc.az. The main works on the first toll road of Azerbaijan will be completed by the end of the year, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Anar Najafli, spokesman of the State Agency of Highways of Azerbaijan.

He noted that most of the work on the road has been completed.

"Asphalt paving works on most of the road have already been finished, and the main part will be ended by the end of the year. Certain works will be completed in the 1st half of next year," he added.

Najafli emphasized that construction of entry and exit points has already been completed on the road, payment terminals and turnstiles have been installed.

The Baku-Guba-Russian border highway under construction will become the first toll expressway in the country.
