December 20, Fineko/abc.az. Prices in the central markets of Guba, Gusar, Shabran and Khachmaz districts were studied.
ABC.AZ reports that according to research data, chicken is sold on the market for 10-15 manats, turkey for 30-35 manats, and goose for 25-30 manats.
Because of high prices, the purchasing power in the markets has also fallen significantly. Therefore, there are more people on the market who are interested in prices than buyers.
Local residents say that prices are artificially inflated by businessmen due to the fact that there are only a few days left before the holiday.
But sellers explained the increase in prices for poultry and food for other reasons. They say that in the winter months, domestic birds lay few eggs, and bird food also requires a lot of money. For this reason, there is also an increase in prices.
In the northern districts there is an increase in prices for meat products. Thus, a kilogram of veal is offered for 13 manats, and lamb for 15 manats.
