December 13, Fineko/abc.az. In accord with the Law on Customs Tariff in Azerbaijan, an application received by the customs authority in connection with the customs clearance of goods will be considered within one day.
ABC.AZ reports that this was reflected in the draft law on amendments to the Customs Code sent by the President to the Milli Majlis.
According to the document, the customs authority passes the goods immediately after establishing the fact of fulfilling the following requirements:
- the customs payments calculated according to the declaration submitted to the customs authority must be paid;
- a guarantee must be provided for additional customs debts that may arise as a result of changes to the notification submitted by the customs authority;
- other requirements established for the release of the declared goods must be met.
In addition, if the customs declaration submitted by the originator to the customs authority is not confirmed by the customs authority due to the need to clarify the customs value of the declared goods within 1 day from the date of submission of the customs declaration, the originator of the declaration may apply to the customs authority in writing, including electronic, form in connection with the passage of goods. This appeal is considered in accordance with the procedure established by the Customs Code.
Notification of the relevant amendments to the customs value of the goods not missed must be provided to the compiler of the declaration no later than 24 hours from the date of submission to the customs authority of the customs declaration for these goods.
The rules for the application of customs value clarification methods are established by the body (structure) determined by the relevant executive authority.
