October 28, Fineko/abc.az. Electric car Tesla Model Y has become the best-selling car in Europe for September.

ABC.AZ reports that in September Europeans purchased and registered 29,367 copies of the electric crossover (227% more versus September 2021. Compact Peugeot 208 (19,600 cars) occupies the 2 place and the 3rd position belongs to budget hatch Dacia Sandero (17,700 cars).

Tesla is releasing Model Y for the European market at the Gigafactory in Berlin. The plant opened in March of this year and can assemble up to half a million electric cars a year, but it will reach its design capacity only by the middle of the decade. Now the plant produces 2,000 cars a week.
