October 27, Fineko/abc.az. The cargo transportation on international transport corridor North-South will be increased up to 15 million tons, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Deputy PM Shahin Mustafayev.

He noted that the North-South transport corridor currently has sufficiently developed infrastructure. An attempt is made to reveal weak sections of the corridor and carry out work.

Mustafayev added that, taking into account the increased demand from the Russian side, an inspection of customs checkpoints was conducted.

"We can increase the load capacity few-fold. By 2030, it is planned to deliver 15 million tons by rail. It is also necessary to add road and sea transportation," Mustafayev says.
