October 24, Fineko/abc.az. It is planned to build a metrobus between Baku and Sumgait, ABC.AZ reports, quoting transport expert Elmeddin Muradli as writing this on his Facebook account.

The expert emphasized in his post: "It is possible to bring electric buses. Buses in settlements Masazir, Sulutepe and Khirdalan of Absheron district will be renewed, the interval will be reduced. People will be provided with high-quality public transport. The main goal is development of public transport in Sumgait, expansion of direct bus services from Sumgait to Baku. Thus, the density on the Baku-Sumgait road will be reduced much. As in Baku, people are not invited to give up personal transport and use public transport for free. First public transport is developed, and then appeals are made. With the development of public transport, there is no need for appeal, people see and understand everything.

The expert's post received a lot of comments, there were those who did not consider it plausible, and those who stated that implementation of the project would take a long time.
