October 24, Fineko/abc.az. We want to increase the capacity of the Baku International Sea Trade Port from 15 million tons up to 25 million tons a year.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev as saying this during today’s joint press statement following the meeting with Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili.

"All relevant instructions have already been given, and finances will be allocated. The work in the transport sector between Azerbaijan and Georgia should be carried out in coordination, since our projects should be completed simultaneously. In order to be a transit country, it is absolutely necessary to have good relations with neighbors, as without having good relations with neighbors, no country can become a reliable transit state. Our friendly, fraternal, partnership relations with Georgia create such opportunities for us," the president said.
