October 24, Fineko/abc.az. The subsistence minimum is formed on the basis of the minimum consumer basket. But here, as the name implies, the minimum norm is adopted. The average norm is not derived, ABC.AZ reports, quoting economist Khalid Kerimli.

He emphasized that in order to live well on average, the amount per capita in a family should be 1,200 manats:

“At least 600 manats per person is needed in order for a family to live on Azerbaijani standards. Speech here is not about accumulation and provision of housing. To cover current expenses, a family must have an income of more than 1,200 manats if it consists of 2 people, and 3,000 manats if it consists of 5 people. If you want to buy a house and go on vacation, naturally, your income should increase. And in order to live better, you must have an income of 1,200 manats per person."
