October 20, Fineko/abc.az. Two new trains, acquired by Baku Metro CJSC from Russia’s Metrovagonmash under Transmashholding, have been delivered to Baku, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Baku Metro’s spokesman Bakhtiyar Mammadov.

"Two trains (10 cars) sent last month are already in the Narimanov electric depot. In accord with the agreement terms, two more trains will be delivered to Azerbaijan until the end of the year," he emphasized.

It is expected that new trains will be launched on Khazi Aslanov - Darnagul line.

Under the agreement concluded in 2019, in 2020-2022 Bakmetropoliten should purchase a total of 12 trains (60 cars) from Russia.
