September 12, Fineko/abc.az. The cost of a "golden visa" for foreign investors, which allows them to obtain a residence permit when buying real estate, will double in Greece to €500,000.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign media that this was announced on Saturday evening by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, when delivering speech at the 86th Thessaloniki International Exhibition on the government's economic program, which was broadcast by Greek TV channel EPT1.
He added that this decision was made to increase the availability of real estate for residents of the country.
The "golden visa" program of Greece provides for the possibility of obtaining a residence permit when purchasing one or more real estate for an amount of at least 250,000 euro or when renting an apartment for the period of at least 10 years. If the conditions of the program continue to be fulfilled, the residence permit can be renewed every five years.
